The slowing American economy is starting to be felt by the small businessmen. This is evident with the surging number of bankruptcy filings all over the country. These filings are mostly made by small businessmen who have just started their businessmen but were overwhelmed by slowing business and rising costs.

But economists say the worst is yet to come.
