Your name?
Melissa Roudi
Your Location (city, etc)
Atlanta
When did you start your website and why?
Crest Capital created our original website in the late 1990s to serve as an online brochure to reduce the amount of printing we were mailing to people inquiring about equipment loans and equipment leases.
Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc
Crest Capital's current website has expanded to include useful functionality for Equipment Manufacturers & Dealers and Equipment Buyers such as Instant Monthly Payment Quotes and an Online Application. Crest Capital's business model is based on Application-Only Equipment Loans & Equipment Leases up to $150,000 without hassling with tax returns or financial statements. The benefit to our customers is lower rates and extremely fast turnaround.
Who maintains your website and why?
We contract with an Atlanta-based web developer to maintain and host the Crest Capital site primarily because we could not achieve the same professional quality with internal staff.
Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?
The benefit of www.crestcapital.com has gone well beyond the original objective of reducing printed marketing material, and now significantly reduces the manpower overhead required to field phone calls related to Monthly Payment Quote requests.
What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
In our opinion, beyond corporate giants with deep IT staffing, mostly small entrepreneurial-type companies have spent time and resources on SEO. Crest Capital is a well-established medium-sized company that is just discovering the benefits of SEO. We believe many mid-market level companies, that have to-date ignored SEO, will also commence SEO campaigns in the coming months.
What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?
One major downside to Search Engine traffic for our business (Equipment Finance) is the inordinate amount of start-up and damaged-credit applicants that are attracted to our services, but are typically inelligible - ultimately squandering valuable resources. Like any business that must qualify prospects, it is a challenge for us since you don't get the opportunity to pre-screen visitors to the site.
