Two more banks add to the long list of failed banks this fiscal year as the government announced that a California and Texas bank filed were shut down.

Franklin Bank, a bank based in Houston, Texas, and Security Pacific Bank in Los Angeles, California, were the casualties. The banks had a total assets of worth $5.1 billion and $561.1 million, respectively.
