Wizard Loans Interview

By Interviewer at 10/11/07 10:50

Name of your website?

Wizard Loans

Your name?

WizardMan

Your Location (city, etc)

Pretoria

Please give us a short summary of your website?

We're a home loans site that specialises in home loans and mortgages for real estate investors wanting to invest in South Africa.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

South Africa has such a high level of poverty and such a low level of eductation that my main idea is to give free advice and education to South Africans. The problem is getting the underpriveleged internet access. But baby steps and we'll find a way.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

My first site was http://sa-property.blogspot.com I'm relatively new to the market so this was my first attempt.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

The companies name is Wizard Midrand, so I used that. Good way to get my brand TOP of Google for it's own name :)

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

We offer alot of good free, sound financial advice. We also offer free advice and our bond origination services are free of charge.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To help improve my online marketing skills and to become the number 1 online mortgage origination company in South Africa and eventually the world.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

The time I spend online is never a waste of money. Time I spend online marketing and educating both myself and others will eventually come back ten fold. In a world full of butterflies it takes balls to be a caterpillar.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I wouldn't. I'd list on every known directory, and advertise on every property portal available to mankind :)

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

I've managed call centres for online casino where we were receiving an average of 3000 - 4000 queries a day. If the need arrised, I would hire more staff. In terms of managing time. BABY STEPS. AND ONE AT A TIME.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Only waste of money has been advertising banners on sites that haven't been worth my while.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Search Engine Rankings! Getting ahead of competitors who've been online for 6 years vs. my 6 month old site.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Organic Search Engine tactics.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It's so much more exciting than I ever thought it would be. It's given me a new lease and motivation in life.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

6 months. I plan on running this for years to come.

What is my goal and dream

To earn millions from all my online endevours! I want 100 websites that I need to manage on a daily basis.

What is your website address?
